Five signs your website is due for a redesign

A website ages faster than you’d think. Not always visible at first glance, but noticeable in the results. These are five signs I often see in businesses that come knocking for a redesign.

1. You’re embarrassed to send the link yourself

If you yourself hesitate to share your own website with a potential client, that’s the clearest signal that something needs to change. Trust starts with yourself.

2. Mobile feels like an afterthought

Most of your visitors arrive via mobile. If your site was designed for desktop and mobile is just “tacked on”, you lose visitors every day who leave again within seconds.

3. Your brand has changed, your website hasn’t

New services, a new positioning, a new audience: if your business has evolved but your website still tells the story from three years ago, it’s working against your own growth.

4. Visitors don’t know what to do

A beautiful website without a clear call-to-action is a missed opportunity. If you have to think about “where do I even click here”, a visitor definitely will too.

5. Competitors suddenly look a lot more professional

The bar keeps shifting. What felt fresh three years ago can quickly look dated next to competitors who have invested in their online first impression.

Do you recognise two or more of these signs? It’s not necessarily urgent, but it’s worth having a proper look at.
